We have seen from this feedback that the video quality is still not good enough and we will be re-filming again to improve this. We have also seen from this feedback that our shots and m-e-s is not creative enough, we will also be re-filming to correct this. One thing the audience did really like was the editing, whiich we worked hard on to make sure that it fitted vernallis' theory.
we have decided to use the name of the artist that produced the song, Lewis Russell, on our digipak. during our conversation we decided on using the colour yellow to signify new beginnings as this follows the concept of the album about a new lease of life, this is shown throughout the lyrics of his songs and the imagery on the digipak. This links to our audience because by knowing the artist our target audience of teenagers can relate to the lyrics and to the person singing them. the album represents the artist as breaking through to a new beginning which signifies the indie genre. The title of our album will be on the front and well as on the spine. We will also use codes and conventions to have the record label and bar code on the back. but we will also challenge these codes and conventions by having a stranger the front cover.
WWW- Pictures on the storyboard show the costume in detail and present many creative ideas.
EBI- If the story board had more detail and if the images on the board were not layered.
WWW: we made sure that the theory chosen (levi-strauss) fits in with the codes and conventions of our music video - dark vs light.
EBI: it could have been improved if we had included the audiences perspectives whilst planning, but luckily they agreed with us on the levi-strauss theory during the interview in the blog pitch.
